Illustrating the Principles
The maps below outline four design objectives connected to the site masterplan and vision. This mapping model mimicked the 'Opportunity Area Planning Framework' for The Royal Docks, however these graphics have been specifically designed for our site plan.

A Connected and Resiliant Place
The Royal Docks site will be well-connected on site using sustainable movement - walking, cycling the use of the DLR to reach other locations in London. This deduction of the car will help to create healthy and safe streets and promote this place to be people orientated. Landscape enhancements and the incorporation of high-quality public spaces will stimulate people to move and visit and support the creation of a sustainable place, addressing social and environmental issues.

o Shared and multifunctional spaces
o Creation of high-quality green, open space
o Floating islands to enhance water activation and generating more space for community requirements
o Green infrastructure to lower emissions and increase richness.

The Royal Docks site will be a mixed-use and community orientated place. The site lacks aesthetic and quality spaces, and the design looks to add social infrastructure throughout to make this a place where people want to be. Creating a mixed-use place grants the exception of a lively and vibrant place, both day and evening. The inclusion of educational and community infrastructure helps to protect community-based networks and grants the possibility for local opportunities.
Principles
o Investment in social infrastructure
o Prioritising local needs and community
o A mixed use and sustainable community: inclusion of housing, employment hubs, services.
o Enhancement of a niche educational proposals
o Enhancing local identity through local events, like markets.

The Royal Docks site will be a mixed-use and community orientated place. The site lacks aesthetic and quality spaces, and the design looks to add social infrastructure throughout to make this a place where people want to be. The inclusion of educational and community infrastructure helps to protect community-based networks and grants the possibility for local opportunities.

o The creation of the culinary school in the original workers cafeteria
o Granted space for community workshops and classes within the listed building so local people are not restricted from their heritage.
o Bridges, floating infrastructure, waterfront steps to enhance local identity and history connected to the site.
o The enhancement of listed structures to enhance historic character, distinction, and legibility

A Post-Covid Place
The impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic had severe impacts on our cities. There is a need to build pandemic resilient places, where design proves to be flexible, adaptable, and sustainable. This is a key improvement needed for future liveability standards.
Principles
o Provision of high quality, shared spaces that is accessible for all.
o Infrastructure like benching that are moveable
o Incorporating the 15min city concept and promotion of sustainable movement
o Incorporating nearby required services for health related or food.
o Community support centres to help people through these happenings
